Great experience. Staff were really helpful and give you the right about of attention. The food was delicious. It is a place which serves good food in a nice setting. It is close to Victoria station. I would recommend booking in advance. We just turned up but at first they said they might need to move us out of a booking turned up. It didn’t happen, but it’s best to book.
Service was good and friendly, but the food is mediocre at best. Nothing too special about the food or its taste. Fries had too much salt, so I had to shake it off. The brunch chicken sandwich was alright. Good portion size. Decently priced for the location.
arrived as a group of 6 and was seated straight away, ordered our food and drinks quickly. drinks took a while to come considering it was very quiet. food came out was so yummy, however our server cleared plates away before we had all finished for both our mains and starters which was strange since it left my grandmother eating alone. young man who was our server was very lovely and kind. ps. please let him wear his jumper when working outside since it is cold.
My first visit and won't be the last. Everything tasted great, the staff were really on the ball. Could see me needing another menu from across the restaurant and just walked past without me even needing to ask. Had quite a few fussy eaters and all the food came out correctly. All tasted fresh and cooked perfectly. The only reason any food would have been left is because of full bellies. The calamari was delicious and my fish pie was perfect. If you thinking of visiting Bill's you won't be disappointed!
As you walk into Bill's, it has a wonderful ambiance and beautiful decor. And then you get to the food, which is exceptional. I had the Beetroot and Goats Cheese Risotto for the main which was delicious, and I very much enjoyed the starters of Halloumi Fries, Stone Baked Bread and the extremely excellent Chicken Skewers! They were worth admission into Bill's alone. And the desert of Bill's Flowerpot, which is a cheesecake in a chocolate pot with chocolate soil, was divine. One of the best Cheesecakes I've ever eaten and would highly recommend. Lovely rich taste and gorgeous to look at. Only issues come in regards to the service. It was my first visit, whereas my friend who accompanied me has been to several different Bill's, and has never had any issues until this Victoria branch. As we were eating there was at least 3 different flies that were constantly buzzing around, and typically, whenever we tried to inform someone the flies had scarpered, only to return when staff not present. The first member of staff informed shrugged, unsure what to do. The second told us he would inform the manager. We called another gentleman over, who happened to be the manager, who said that it was something that never happens here and didn't really do anything? But we called him over a second time where, thankfully, the flies had decided to stay put so could be observed. He offered to move us, but we had finished our meal by that point, but as I wanted the delicious desert I accepted to be moved. He explained it was the (January?) weather that was attracting the flies, but did come to us a while later and said they had closed that table off, as strangly it seemed to be the only table receiving these visitations. He very graciously discounted the meal on account of this. Overall, I find the service mixed but they did right at the end, but the food, particularly Bill's Flowerpot cheesecake, is exceptional so would recommend to people to try.
